summer fun...

Hi again :) I created a summer themed layout for the PL Junkies blog featuring some exclusive 'Summer Themed' items from Craft Paper Scissors.

My {scrAp this!} Summer Fun Polaroid Frame helped me set the tone for the entire layout and it was from this that I was inspired to use a series of frames to highlight certain details on both my photos and cards.

I really like the way the frames draw the eye to certain parts of the photo without overwhelming it and adding a cluster of small embellies to each frame helped to anchor it to the page. The Polaroid also helped me determine which accent colours to add to my layouts and I used little pops of gold and yellow throughout both pages.

The fun wood veneer exclusives added a lot of texture to the page and were great for continuing the summer theme and telling the story in some of the photos.

Hi :) I've been busy documenting week 8 using the amazing
Shine Bright Daily Diary kit  from NoelMignon.com.

This mix of goodies contain some of my absolute favourite colours and products, and as much as I loved using this kit, the week I was documenting was far from perfect and I shared some tips on the NoelMignon blog today for helping you alter the happy words and phrase products are usually filled with when life is not so perfect.

Here are a couple of close ups of my favourite cards.

A new month means a brand new challenge at Scrap the Boys!!

We have a fun sketch challenge this month and I have used a mix of  Kaisercraft's Shine Bright collection to capture a candid moment of Cayden enjoying some game time with his dad.

I love working with layers, and loved using this mix of cool grays, bold black and whites with a bright pop of yellow :)

Head over to the blog to check out the amazing work form the rest of the design team, and don't forget to upload you layouts by the end of the month to go in running to win this month's awesome prizes!

I've got another layout to share tonight :) once again featuring the Love Life Daily Diary Kit from NoelMignon.com

I shared a few tips about the type of  'formula' I use when putting my project life pages together in my original post if you'd like to take a look.

Because I was documenting Valentine's week I went with a bit of a love theme throughout my pages and included one of the fun variations on a confetti shaker card which I originally shared in this post

These were a couple of the other confetti heart shaker cards I also created.

I'll have more project life shares later in the week.

Hi again :) I've been a busy scrapper and have another week to share, this time using the gorgeous Love Life Daily Diary Kit from NoelMignon.com

There are more close up photos in my original post, along with details about how I was able to use both the front and back of this particular heart card even though I only had one card.
