july @ scrap the boys...

We have a fun inspiration challenge over at Scrap the Boys this month.
I used the circle designs and colours as inspiration to create this layout of my little guy with a few beautiful Autumn treasures.

I used watercolour paint to create a large circle for the background, and mounted my photos onto a few layers of patterned paper, combining a mix of  heart and spot patterns.

I die-cut several cardstock circles and used varying tones from the inspiration image to add water colour spots onto each circle before positioning them down the page. I also added more hearts and spotty elements to balance out the page.

Head over to the blog to see the awesome inspiration from the rest of the team and be sure to upload your layouts by the end of the month to be eligible for this month's great prizes!!

project life week 26...

Hi :) I have reached the halfway point of the year with week 26 and am ready to start filling up my next album!

I knew that it would bug me if the final pages in this album had blank backs so I decided to condense this week onto a single layout using another one of the fabulous 'Pocket Life' kits from Scrappy Canary.

I love the Pink Paislee Atlas range and used a few extra pieces from the same collection throughout the page - you can get a list of the extra products I used over on my original post

I love that even thought this kit has a travel theme, all of the pieces worked really well with everyday photos too and I used simple paper layers to customize the cards.

I love that Project Life helps me to record little memories like this

Using a single layout meant I needed to add a flip pocket to hold a few of the extra pics.
