As I mentioned in my last post, I have been busy playing with my 2014 Project Life album. You might be wondering what happened to my 2013 album? To be totally honest I wasn't very prepared when I first started playing with Project life and quickly found myself very behind with the whole process and as a result last year's album has gone into the 'to-do' basket for now while I try and keep up to date with this year's memories.
I am still LOVING the whole process and have learnt a lot along the way, and I'm thinking I will do a separate post on how I have gotten myself organised at a later date - in the meantime here is the start of my 2014 album.
For me the title page has been the most daunting because it was difficult to try and anticipate the feel for the rest of the album. I decided to try and capture what the first parts of the year involved so it would flow nicely with the first month and as you can see we spent a lot of time by the water.

my colour scheme began with this awesome 2014 vellum card from Gossamer Blue, and I paired it with a mix of cards from Simple Stories along with a few bits & pieces from my stash.
I have used the January Life Pages kit form Gossamer Blue to document the start of the year.
I've decided to use these Simple Stories calendar cards from the Daily Grind collection to mark the start of every month and have altered them with lots of goodies from my kit.
I'm loving the clean look of white brushes on photos and am very happy to have bought a few sets by Karla Dudley Design for Pixels & Co.
the rest of the week involved some fishing as well as a bit of an incident with my new knives...
moving onto week 2...
I have a bit of a weakness for wood veneers and love the cute pieces from the kit.
again using a Karla Dudley Design photo brush
I have a feeling I'm going to get a lot of use from these awesome Monday-Friday stamps from Kellie Stamps
I used the stamps from the kit with vellum to create a couple of easy accents, and am wishing I had a few more of these super cute star cards to use.
Thanks for stopping by :) I'd love to know what you think of my album so far?
I'll be back with some scrapping and more project life soon.

Oh wow! I don't even know where to start. I love your work!! You have the knack of embellishing down just perfectly. I always feel like I have too little or too many but your pages are absolutely fantastic. Love the bright colour schemes, and I am in love with white brushes on photos as well - looks amazing! Will be coming back for sure :) :)
