I've been using the gorgeous March Life Pages Kit from Gossamer Blue to document a few more pages from my Project Life album.
what I'm loving most about using these fabulous kits is that they really encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone and try out colour combinations that I might not have normally considered using. I tend to use a lot of bold colours and would have thought that a soft palette like this would be too 'pretty' for my photos since I mainly have pics of my boys to work with...but I am really pleased with how well it all came together and it has turned out to be one of my favourite spreads.
as an extra incentive to use up my kits I'm taking part in the Gossamer Blue Album challenge which requires you to create and upload 4 pages per month to the gallery using any of the kits for the month to receive a free album after the 6th month, and I begin each month by using the products form the kit to alter a 6x4"cards from the Simple Stories Daily Grind collection since this collection was used in the January kit and I've decided to run with it throughout the year.
I have added a few wood veneers and gold die cuts from my stash, and also printed out the exclusive printables and digital elements included with the kit.
I also love that each monthly release including the scrapbook kit and various add-ons all co-ordinates with each other and I find that although I am only subscribed to the life pages kit I often have some of the co-ordinating papers or embellishments in my stash and can use these knowing that they will be a perfect match for my spreads. March featured some of the Teresa Collin's Daily Stories range which I have added throughout the pages.
moving onto the second week...
as much as I love the look of hand written journaling I haven't been able to embrace my own hand writing yet and am still printing up all of my memories onto journal cards - I have been trying to add more little hand written notes and hope to one day be able to hand write a full spread!
I've got a bit of a thing for clouds and have noticed quite a few sky pics popping up in my album this year ;)
I know I've already included heaps of photos in this post, but I couldn't help myself and took a few more shots of some of my favourite little details :)
Thanks for stopping by xx
