I've got another project life catch up to share using the awesome 'Happy Go Lucky' Daily Diary kit from NoelMignon.com
Starting with week 22, which I shared over on the Noel Mignon blog.
I selected a combination of green, blue and pink tones from the cards and papers in the kit, adding some of the warm wood grain pattern throughout both pages.
As always I began the week with a custom title card which I pieced together using various elements from the kit, adding a hand stitched border for extra detail.
I had quite a few photos to include this week and added a flip pocket to hold more pics and details from a recent shopping trip to Ikea.
I also printed some of the horizontal photos slightly smaller than usual to allow me to add some colour with the cards and papers behind the photos. Using a white border around the photos helped them to stand out against the patterned papers.
I created a frame from one the 6x4" cards to to add more interest to a large block of journaling, finishing it off with more hand stitching.
Next up was week 23, where once again I used the same combination of colours to create a nice flow from the previous week.
We had a busy week, which resulted in lots of photos and where possible I utilized the photos themselves to add printed journal strips to document the details in each pic.
Using the reverse side of the W Design Project Life page protector from the previous week, I changed the position of my weekly title card but kept the colours the same and once again added a hand stitched border.
I liked the way the white journal strips and die cut frame worked over the photos, and used a few simple embellishments to add a little pop of extra colour to the pockets.
Thanks for stopping by xx
