Aussie Scrap jacked...

I was very excited in the lead up to the January challenge on the Scrap Jacked blog... but as it turned out other things just kept getting in the way, so when the boys went fishing on the weekend I cleared the dining table and finally got started!

I couldn't resist jacking Lisa's layered circles, and although I went with a totally different colour palette I'm loving the results :)
I also really liked the arrangement and cool bubble wrap stamping on Mel's layout and also went for a boy theme with my layout and scrapped about Cameron's love of catching lizards.

I only wish I had time to do more because there were so many inspiring pieces, but unfortunately I'm a pretty slow scrapper... maybe next month :)

Get Picky...

I've been scrapping again :) and still using the fabulous inspiration on challenge blogs to keep me on track. I couldn't resit creating a layout when I saw this gorgeous inspiration challenge image on the Get Picky blog.

I really like the soft neutral colours and I instantly knew I wanted to use photos of my mum's Christmas village, which she sets up under her tree each year for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner.
This was Cayden's first Christmas and he was in totally in awe of all that was going on under his Baba's tree, and he especially loved the train coming through the tunnel.

I really liked the soft colour scheme and the simple but spectacular tree and tried to re-create this by making a couple layered doily trees and dressed them up with some sparkly rhinestones.
Thanks for stopping by... let me know what you think :)

A Bo Bunny challenge...

Hi again I'm back with another layout :) this time inspired by a fun challenge over on the Bo Bunny blog which was to use wrapping paper on a layout. As soon as I saw this I knew I wanted to have a go because I had plenty of left over wrapping from Christmas and thought it would be a fun way to scrap Cayden's first Santa photo.I cut out several baubles and trees from my wrapping paper and teamed them up with papers and the transparency birdies from the Flirty range and although this is not a Christmas range I think the colours worked well. I also added a strip of shimmery paper from the Holiday Magic range and used Double Dot chipboard alphas for my title and finished it off with a couple of All Stuck up Buttons. Here's some of the details:
Thanks for having a peek :)

Page Maps & Storyboard Kits...

I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas and are making a great start to the New Year! I know I've had a very long break from scrapping but I plan for this to change, and to get myself back into the swing of things I've decided that this year I would try my hand at some of the challenges out there and was inspired by this Page Maps sketch for the Storyboard kits challenge. I turned the sketch on it's side and this is what I came up with...I know the photos are not that good, but it was getting late and I had to get it uploaded before midnight ;) so will try and get some better shots in the morning.
Thanks for stopping by
