Hi there, another month has come around and I've got a layout to share for the December Scrap the Boys challenge.

It's a sketch challenge this month and as you can see I have flipped things around a bit for my layout.

As always I have mixed a range of products from various brands but the main components are from Pink Paislee Solstice range along with some goodies from Pinkfresh Studio and some gorgeous gold foiled vellum from Maggie Holmes Open Book collection.

Take a look at how the rest of the team have used the sketch and link your entries up on the blog before the end of the month for a chance to win this month's great prizes.

Thanks for stopping by xx

Hi again :) there's a new challenge up at Scrap the Boys! This month's challenge is to show your boy's softer side and I knew that this pic of little Cayden picking some flowers for me would be perfect.

In keeping with the 'softer side' theme I went with a mix of pretty corals, soft blues and lime colours from the gorgeous new Heidi Swapp September Skies collection.

I have definitely used a lot more flowers than I normally would for a boy's page but I think they go well with the photo and theme.

Check out all the fabulous samples from the rest of the team here and don't forget to get your layouts linked up by the end of the month for a chance to win some of the awesome prizes!!

a couple I prepared earlier...

Hi :) its usually around this time of year when I try and get up to date and go back and find all the layouts and projects I have created but haven't shared yet.

First up is a layout that was published in Scrapbooking Memories magazine Vol 16 No1 for the 'out of your comfort zone challenge' where I was asked to give a more ''arty'' style a try.

I had a lot of fun playing with differnet mediums and although the layout is still very much my own style I like that it isnt as ''clean" as I usually do and have since added some of the same techniques to my other projects.

I also have a couple of layotus to share from a past Scrappy Canary cybercrop. I managed to get two layotus completed and even won one of the challenges with this layout...

I used lots of items from their kits, along with a few of my own {scrAp this!} designs which were part of the embellishment kit for the month :)

there was also this layout...

using one of my favourite colour combos mixed with lots of yummy layers.

I have loads of pages from my project life album to share, so I hope you'll stop by again soon xx

Have you seen the fun Tech Savvy challenge over at Scrap the Boys this month?

I think you'll agree that technology has come a long way since we were kids and it seems like today's generation definitely has it all figured out!

I used some pics of all my boys with their various devices, which have fast become a part of everyday life.

and a few more close ups :)

You'll find loads of great samples from the STB team over on the blog and don't forget get your entries in by the end of the month to be eligible for some awesome prizes.

saying goodbye to D-lish scraps...

I'm sad to say that my design team term with D-lish Scraps has already come to an end :( It feels like it has gone by way to fast but it has truly been a great six months and I absolutely loved playing with so many awesome goodies while working with Amanda and the rest of the team.

I shared two final layouts over on the blog starting with a fun pic of my little guy soaking in the bath.

I used several layers of coloured tulle from the store to create a soft floating background for my photo.

I used heat embossing to help me co-ordinate some wood veneer words and enamel dots to my page...
you'll find all the details here.

I went with a mix of warm tones paired with some bold patterned paper for this next page.

I created a journaling pocket out of tags and used pops of black to break up some of the patterns.

again you can find full details over on my original post

cybercrop fun with dlish scraps...

The D-lish Scraps September Cybercrop is in full swing over at The Scrap Suite. There are 5 fun challenges as well as a bonus kids challenge along with lots of fun and games and awesome prizes up for grabs!!

Here's my challenge which is to incorporate tags onto your project.

I used a few shipping tags from the store to create my design and used one of these as a template to cut out a 6x4" photo into two tag shapes. I really liked that this method gave this simple photo a lot more impact on my page than it would have if it had been left whole.

I love that tags are so versatile and can be used with so many different scrapping styles. I kept mine pretty simple with just a little bit of washi tape and a few embellishments to dress them up as well as some die-cut chevrons and 'today' word for a bit more depth.

Head over to The Scrap Suite face book group to check out all the other challenges
and join in on all the fun :)

domesticated at scrap the boys

Hi again, have you seen the fun September challenge at Scrap The Boys? This month is all about showing us just how 'domesticated' your boys can be.

Like most boys, mine are not big on the whole domesticated thing, but it is nice to find a couple of kitchen helpers when I'm making dinner from time to time :)

The photo is of my younger two boy peeling mushrooms on the kitchen bench, and I used a mix of Amy Tangerine's Plus One Collection along with some other bits and pieces from my stash.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous layouts the rest of the team have come up with for this challenge and get your entries by the end of the month to go in the running to win this months awesome prizes!

Hi there, just getting in a catch up post from a couple of projects I created for August over at D-lish Scraps
The first was a layout using a mix of crisp black and white with some happy yellow :)

I loved using this colour combination and using just three colours made putting my layout together fast and easy.

You will find the full post, along with a list of all the items I have used here.

Next up I used the D-lish Scraps Library Card Pocket Template along with more goodies from the store to help me create some pages for my Project Life album.

again, you can find all the details on my original post here

profiling at scrap the boys...

A new month means a fun new challenge over at Scrap the Boys. This month's theme is all about profiling! and your challenge is to create a page about your boy, listing all the things he is interested in.

Here's what I came up with, inspired by a profile pic Cameron recently added to facebook.

I used a  free iphone frames printable to create a 'status update' type of page using a mix of Teresa Collins Hello My Name Is... collection.

I typed out several lists of all his favourite things on tags which I have tucked into various bags and pockets.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous examples the rest of the team has come up with, and get your layouts uploaded by the end of the month to be eligible for some great prizes!!
