more pink...

It looks like there must have had a bit more pink to get out of my system after my earlier post ;) Here's a page I created for the February Kraft It Up challenge with a kraft + pink + love theme.
I've used a mix of book page and paper bag hearts stitched onto netting
and added a bit of baby pink with the tissue paper ruffles and sequins

Thanks for stopping by :)

mists and twine...

We have been getting stuck into our products over at Scrapz.Biz and are into our second week of daily challenges designed to get you to use your products. We kicked things off with mists last week and since it was my turn to come up with the Scrap Write Now challenge which is all about journalling, I thought it would be fun to create a few misted tags to journal onto.

I started things off with the fun Echo Park A Boy's Life collection kit which seemed perfect for this page about my cheeky little guy
I made a couple of custom tags by hand cutting a few star shapes to use as a mask before applying the mist to give my tags a bit more interest
this collection is full of awesome patterns as well as loads of fun alphas and stickers which helped everything come together quickly.

This week's challenge is to use twine, and here's a little peek at just one of the ways I've added twine to my page for the Fetch a Sketch challenge.
You can see the full page as well as the sketch I came up with over in the forum and while you're there don't forget to check out all the fabulous daily challenges the rest of the team have created... the challenges are open until the end of the month so there's still plenty of time to play along and have a chance at winning one of the monthly store vouchers :)

Have a great weekend!

You might have noticed that I don't usually use pink and flowers on my pages, but with Valentine's Day just around the corner, I thought why not! I was inspired by a gorgeous page by Melinda Spinks to have a go at the Sweetheart sketch challenge over at the My Little Shoebox blog.

Here's the sketch Melinda created...
and this is the page I came up with about my little sweetheart using a mix of the Enchanted Garden and Home Tweet Home ranges from My Little Shoebox.
I really loved using these awesome 3D roll-up flowers from the Enchanted Garden collection, and am thinking you might see more flowers creeping onto my pages in the future :)
Thanks for stopping by!
