Basic Grey, Crate Paper and Echo park...

Hi, I'm getting back to blogging and thought I'd share a few more layouts I created for Scrapz.Biz. First up using Basic Grey's awesome 'Clippings' Collection.
I haven't used Basic Grey ranges for a long time but really loved this new collection and can see myself playing with more and more of their new releases.
I created loads of layers and added a couple of hidden journal tags to tell the story of our road trip form Sydney to Queensland a few years ago.

Next up I got out my July Cuddlez Cardmaking Kit filled with the sweet Crate Paper Little Boy Blue collection to create this layout.
Even though the Cuddlez kits are designed for card making, they are always filled with more than enough goodies to create layouts too :)
as you can see the kit has lots of cute embellies as well as a fun mix of alphas too and at just $19.95 it's great value too!

I also had a play with some Echo Park Paradise Beach Collection to create a layout of my little guy exploring the beach.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great weekend :)

I really enjoyed having a go at this month's Scrap the Boys challenge
The challenge is to create a layout in your own style using the image below as your base, or starting off point...
I went with a photo of my little guy at the beach, totally fascinated with the seagulls which he spent most of the day following around on the sand
I used mists, paint and inks to add some detail to the background
and check out these cute fabric covered buttons I picked up from Bit's and Pieces Created by Marg :)
You've got until the end of the month to get creating and upload your entries and go into the draw to win some great prizes!

do or die...

In September/October Scrapz Biz will be running a new fun competition called Do or Die!
It is mandatory that you will sign up for this one.
Every week you will be given one challenge to complete plus a number (eg #4). You have to upload by a specific date, however the gallery will not be public. You will not be able to view it until after the closing date and you will not know how many people have uploaded before you. If your entry is that week's particular upload number (eg #4), you will be out of the comp. However, should someone not upload by the due date, they will be automatically disqualified and there will be no sudden death for any of the other contestants that week.

You may enter two layouts per week to avoid sudden death, however, you only have one extra life. This means that if you have to rely on your second entry one week to survive, you cannot use that life line again.

The prize for the last scrapper standing will be a $100 prize pack!

Here's a little peek of what I came up with for the first challenge which will be revealed tonight...
Don't forget that you need to sign up before starting so that you don't miss out on the chance to win the prize.
