family fun...

Hi again :) I'm going strong with my blog catch up and have my July pages to share created with Elle's Studio Family Fun collection from the Sassy Scrappers store.

I loved the bright happy colours in this collection and had fun combinging the various patterns across my pages.

you'll find all the product details for the first part of the month here

I focused on COLOUR, DESIGN & DETAIL for the second part of the month and how they each play a role in the way I put my pages together. You can read all about it here

And because I didn't want any of this awesome collection to go to waste, I teamed up my remaining pieces with a fun hearts background cut file to create a quick and easy layout

This was the final completed month in my album before I jumped to December so it looks like I still have quite a bit of catching up to do, but until then thanks for stopping by xx

escape the ordinary...

Hi again :) I'm back with another project life catch up post with one of my absolute favourite months documented thanks to the amazing 'Escape The Ordinary' collection from Pinkfresh Studio.

I shared all the details over on this post, and this was definitely one of those months where everything seemed to fall into place.

And the main reason why it all worked so well can been seen in my title card... this collection not only has great papers but it also has a fabulous mix of embellishments!!

and boy did I enjoy using those embellishments ;)

Using more goodness from this range to document the remainder of the month...

I added some hand stitched details

and again, let the awesome mix of embellishments do much of the work for me.

I also created a 6x8" insert with a fun floating tag - you can find all the details here

And because I loved this range so much, I also used it to create a layout

Thanks for stopping by xx

say cheese...

Hi again :) continuing with my blog catch up with the goal of getting all project life posts up to date  by the end of the year I am sharing our May memories that were created with the Simple Stories 'Say Cheese III' collection.

I added a couple of pieces from other collections that complimented this range - you can find a full list of products used on my original post on the Sassy Scrappers blog.

I used quite a bit of chipboard frames through out these pages and really liked the way they helped to draw attention to both the photos and stories.

I repeated the same patterns for the second part of the month and was very pleased that even though this was a Disney themed collection it still worked well with all of our regular everyday photos.

I added a few gold foiled items to brighten up this darker colour palette - again you can find more details on this post

And because it was a busy month, I added a couple of 6x8" inserts which you can see in detail here.

As always, thanks for stopping by xx

you rock...

Hi :) Even though I have been sharing all of my projects online I have been a bit neglectful of my blog this year, so I am making the time to fix this before the year comes to an end and have a few months worth of pages to share.

I documented April using the 'You Rock' collection from the Sassy Scrappers store, and I loved the way this range worked with our photos.

As always I began the month with a custom title card

and also included a flip pocket which you can read more about on this post.

Using lots of everyday photos for the second part of the month, which is what I love most about this project.

I loved using the awesome 'Days of the Week' stamp and plan on using it again for my catch up months. You can find all the product details over on this post.

I also created an Easter insert with the same collection and was very happy how well this range worked with the photos even though it isn't Easter themed.

Until next time, thanks for stopping by xx

december @kraft+...

Hello again :) the end of the year is almost here but before we get swamped with all the various Christmas activities it's nice to take a bit of time to enjoy some crafting and what better way to get inspired than with another awesome challenge from the Kraft+ Challenges blog!

This month's challenge has so many great elements that can be used as a starting point for your projects, and as you will see I took inspiration from several of them.

When I first saw the image, I was instantly drawn to the colours and eclectic mix of patterns and wanted to recreate something similar on my layout. I deliberately chose patterns that might normally clash but used each pattern sparingly so that they wouldn't compete with each other.

I love the look of the plates on the wall and layered several patterned circles across the page to represent the plates. The frames on the far wall in the image also spoke to me and so I used a mix of chipboard frames in varying sizes and used wrapped a little bit of thread around the frame edges to represent the woven rug.

As always, you will find a load of inspiration from the all the team and our guest designers over on the Kraft+ blog and don't forget to upload you projects by the end of the month for a chance to win one of this month's prizes!
Thanks for stopping by xx
