Thought it was time to do the weekly catch up ;)
Firstly I've got a couple more layouts published in this month's Scrapbooking Memories magazine - this one was actually completed about a year ago so it's nice to finally see it in print
and also these for the free paper challenge Have also done another layouts using some RW Laser cuts And have been working on some of my bootcamp layouts over at Blue Bazaar, well actually have 7 in progress so far.... so that only leaves me 18 more :0
I also got another blog award from the lovely Elizabeth aka the Queen of toys who creates some awesome mixed media pieces - thank you :) and now I have to share 7 things I love....

1. Naturally I love my family and love being a mum to my two beautiful boys.
2. I've always been the creative type and whether it's scrapping, painting or other crafts I love the satisfaction of making stuff.
3. I love animals of all shapes and sizes and like watching wild animal documentaries.
4. Digging around in my garden and watching things grow.
5. Although I'm really not the sporty type - I am very much into the English soccer Go Manchester United!!!!
6. Paper - I love scrapbook paper, gift warp and stationery.
7. Home decor stores and magazines.

and now my turn to pass this on to 7 lovely and creative people...
1. Nicole
2. Tash
5. Sue
7. Mel

And remember if you don't want to have to pass this on.... that's ok but please still let me know you have received it :)

Oh and I also wanted to share that my boy scored a fabulous goal at soccer yesterday - way to go Christian!!!!

Sing...

I'm sorry for taking so long to get back to everyone who has been leaving me such lovely comments - but can you believe that I've been sick yet again! and this time it hasn't just been me.... last Monday Cameron woke up with a fever and a sore throat then the next day Christian had the same, on Wednesday it was Matt's turn and hit me by Thursday night, forcing me to spend the next 2 days in bed with fevers and aches in muscles I didn't even know I had from the constant coughing - so to wake up feeling somewhat normal today was a real blessing! and although we were not able to enjoy mothers day lunches with our families as planned.... instead we spent the day in our pjamas, huddled in blankets watching movies - but we were all fever less and together and that's all that matters :)

On to scrapping - and to be honest I haven't done all that much lately but it was my turn to choose the theme for this month's One Little Aussie Word and I decided to go for the word Sing and it's been great to see the different ways the word has inspired the team - and I hope it will inspire you too :) here's what I came up with
I hope you've enjoyed a wonderful Mothers Day with your families today and that you are all in good health!

Bootcamp is back...

I'm really happy that Blue Bazaar's Crop Bootcamp is back and I'm again aiming to get 25 layouts completed by the end of the month (wish me luck lol) Check out all the details here and don't forget that you can join in at any time!

I've also been taking part in Blue Bazaar's monthly art journal challenges and last month learned some image transfer techniques using magazine images and although it was a little tricky at first I'm very glad I stuck to it because I learned so much, and after a couple of failed attempts I finally came up with this page.
The quote reads "A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song" by Maya Angelou. May's challenge is all about masking and I look forward to getting started :)

Smile...

Smile is the theme for this month's dare at Aussie Dares - and I couldn't resist doing a page about my little Cameron who just has a way of making everyone around him smile :) Also you may have noticed that I am kind of hooked on the White With 1 colour swaps and got back all these cool items in exchange for my trees for the Naturals swap.
Another thing I'm loving right now is using RW Laser cuts and have added one of the fabulous flourishes to this layout which was made to capture some of the not so perfect moments that our lives are also sometimes made of. I decided to go with hidden journaling so the words could be pure and straight from the heart, and wrote to my boys telling them that sometimes being a mother is hard.... and that sometimes I'm sorry.
And speaking of journaling I've noticed that sometimes I struggle to find the right words to to include on my layouts, so was happy to come across Journal It the other day and hope it will be some help ;)

Finally some scrapping...

I finally have some scrapping to share - but not because I have been busy doing any but rather because like a lot of people (over 140 of them) I also applied for the Kaiser design team, and although I didn't make it through I'm very happy to have new stuff to share :)

First up was my double using the very cute Fun Fair rangecan you tell I made the orange elephant myself by using the blue one above as a template - I think it's a pretty close match ;)and this was my single page all about meI used the Spirograph range and had fun with my scissors snipping out all the flowers
and this is my mini album - using the fun bright colours of the Mumma Bushka range and an example of what's inside.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have something cool planned for National Scrapbooking Day tomorrow :)
