project life cover page...

Hi there :) after a few months of procrastinating, I finally settled on an idea for a cover page for my 2017 album! I was very happy with how my design from last year's album fell into place and decided to go with another photo-less design this year.

I have been hoarding the lovely spotty paper from Crate Paper's 'Gather' collection for some time and after placing it alongside the painted pattern from Pink Paislee's 'Fancy Free' range I knew that I had my base.

I treated the base as a 12x12 design but was mindful of where the title and embellishments would sit in each pocket. The big Hello came from a pack of Dear Lizzy 'Saturday' thickers, and I am pretty sure that the cute camera is a die cut from an Amy Tangerine 'Yes Please' ephemera pack.

I used the same watercolour hearts that I used throughout my January pages, and finished things off with a few printed journal strips.

project life week two + insert...

Hi again :) I've already fallen a bit behind with my album but recently made some time to get week two complete, and even manged to put together a double paged insert while I was at it!

I am still playing with watercolours and using the same products that I began January with, but I changed out the teal accent colour with a vibrant blue from the reverse side of one of my patterned papers and love the way it worked with this week's photos.

You can get a better look at all the details on my original post over on the Sassy Scrappers blog along with a full list of all the products I have used.

Same products but with a slightly different feel for an insert to document one of our summer adventures.

We had a wonderful time at the coast and even brought a little bit of the beach home with us!
I used my fuse tool to create a fun sand shaker pocket .

As always, you'll find all the details and product listing on my original post over on the Sassy Scrappers blog.

A new month and a brand new challenge from Kraft+ Challenges.

Criteria: Kraft + Sketch + Colour.

We have a great sketch with a 'coastal chic' theme this month and even though your project doesn't necessarily need to have a beach theme, I decided to go with some photos of my boys from a recent fishing trip.

I kept things simple with a subtle coastal colour palette, and used the sketch as a guide for my page design.

I dry brushed some white acrylic paint onto the kraft background to help it to blend in with my paper layers and used some white netting to give my page some added depth and texture.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous inspiration from the rest of the team and our guest designers over on the Kraft+ blog, and don't forget to upload your entries by the end of the month for a chance to win one of this moth's prizes!
