7 challenges in one...

You might remember that Scrappy Canary was hosting a fun National Scrapbook Day cyber crop over on the Scrappy Canary VIP Lounge on Facebook. I created a colour challenge which I shared in my last post, and even though I had every intention o completing all the other challenges, life just kept getting in the way so I decided to combine all 7 challenges in one layout.

I used my colour challenge to help me gather up my supplies, then used Michelle's sketch as a guide of how to lay everything out. Karyn's background challenge was a lot of fun to play with and Louise's subscriber challenge helped me to use up some left over pieces from my past kits. I followed Manda's recipe adding cork, wood veneers and enamel dots - not forgetting to include washi tape and at least two different patterned papers.

Chantelle's 'happy' challenge got me adding lots of tiny stamped stars and punched heart strips and also helped me to think of a title, which I finished off with Lauren's typography challenge combing at least 5 different alphas and I really love the way all the criteria worked on one layout.

Happy National Scrapbook Day :) Scrappy Canary is hosting a fun cyber crop to celebrate the event and we have seven great challenges scheduled and everyone is welcome to play along. Head over to the Scrappy Canary VIP Lounge for all the details.

I created a colour challenge using a combo of teal, pink, gold and navy and created a project life layout using these colours, but you could also use this combo to create traditional layouts.

I used a combo of gorgeous goodies from the Amy Tangerine Rise and Shine Collection which were the perfect match for the colours.

I selected papers from the 6x6" Paper Pad, and added a few drops of Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine before layering some of the Die-cut Shapes over the top. I added a bit more detail with the cute Kara Phrase Stamp as well as the tiny Phrase Stickers.

I also used one the Wooden Circle Tags from the same collections and added more embellishment clusters over the photos, adding lots of gold sparkle with a few bits and pieces from my stash.

You'll find all the products over in the store, and don't forget to use the code 'AGNUS10' to save 10% at the checkout.

Happy Scrapping xx

A new month means a brand new challenge at Scrap the Boys! We have a 'Pound the Pavement' theme this month and can involve a wide variety of activities your boys might get up to on the pavement.

I have documented little Cayden getting around on his tricycle at one of our local parks.

I went with a grey and white base of papers to tie in with the pavement in the photo and added some pops of gorgeous colour from a mix of Amy Tangerine collections. I really like the light and airy feel all the layers helped to create as well as the way the shiny silver accents draw the eye to certain areas of the page.

You'll find all the challenge details as well as more inspiration from the team over on the STB blog. Be sure to upload your layouts by the end of the month to go in the running to win some great prizes.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by xx
