Happy New Year! 2018 is here and what better way to start the year than with a caffeine hit for the coffee inspired challenge over on the Kraft Plus Challenges blog.

Don't worry if you don't drink coffee, you can still play along by using the inspiration image as your starting point.

I created a layout based on my morning cuppa (which is actually tea) and was inspired by the challenge image to create some faux coffee stains with watercolour paint. I applied the paint onto the rim of a bowl and mug then stamped them onto my background adding a few paint drips around both circles.

I took a selfie with my morning cuppa and mounted the photo along with a few paper layers onto a chipboard coaster and it was actually this coaster that helped me decide on the direction I wanted to go with this layout.

I kept my page pretty neutral with just a few pops of navy, blush and rose gold and printed off some digital stamps from Kellie Stamps that helped to tell my story.

As always you can find loads of inspiration over on the Kraft+ blog from all the projects the rest of the team and our guest designers have created, and don't forget to upload your projects to the blog by the end of the month for a chance to win some great prizes.
Thanks for stopping by xx

Hello :) I'm feeling very happy to be up to date with all the projects I have created this year and am finishing off the year with my December daily projects using Pinkfresh Studio's December Days collection from the Sassy Scrappers store.

December has always been my favourite time of year but it's also a very busy time so I started with a bit of page prep in November, ready to fill with photos and stories once December rolled in and created some simple layered cards to add to my regular project life album. You'll find all of the cards I created over on this post

Adding photos and stories once December began - check out this post for all the details.

Although I was a little bit uncertain on how these non traditional colours would work with my photos, this unusual Christmas palette really complimented my pics and helped to tie the month together very well.

I create several hand made cards to help me set the festive tone.

I also added a 6x12" insert to hold more photos and festive ephemera.

Filling up my album with more December memories, I switched things up with a different pocket configuration to accommodate some vertical photos. You can read all about it here

Of course December wouldn't be complete without a pretty tree photo :)

Creating more layered filler cards with die-cuts and mixed embellishments

and even adding one of our tree flat ornaments inside a pocket to make our album more personal.

That brings my project life share fully up to date! Thank you for following along with my creations this year and I hope you will return in 2018 xx
