This month's challenge at Scrap the Boys is to create a layout about your child's favourite book or book series, if your child is too young to have a favourite book, what is your favourite book to read to him?
Here's what I came up with inspired by one of my little guy's favourites - Little Monkey.
Cayden loves the story of the Little Monkey who goes out looking for someone to play with and rather than using a pic of him 'reading' the book I decided to use the story itself as my main inspiration.

He loves peeking through the cut-out pages and I tried to recreate this look by making some chipboard tree trunks to go over the top of the book paper background and I like that each page has the writing up in the tree tops which inspired me to create my own leafy tree top for my title.
here's a detail pic of some the cute handmade embellies I used to help tell the story...
Rainbow Splendour Felt Pinwheels
Purple Pumpkin Monkey Fabric Button
Burdy's Handmade Fabric Yoyo flowers
You have until 31st October to get your entries in for a chance to win some great prizes!
